Why I Created NIL Island
Hey there! I’m Leah Clapper.
University of Florida Gymnastics Alumna and Founder of NIL Island.
On July 1st, 2021, I knew I wanted to take advantage of NIL opportunities, but I had no idea where to begin. I knew I couldn’t be the only one who was confused!
Consequently, I made it my mission to “figure out NIL.” I’ve grown my total social media following to over 85K, worked with many well-known brands, and launched the first-ever gymnastics board game. I’ve talked to countless agents, attorneys, brand representatives, NIL business owners, and most importantly, athletes.
Community: It was missing. I couldn’t find a safe and easy place to discuss NIL experiences and struggles. So, I decided to create it. Welcome to NIL Island!
